Drew Larsen is a business attorney experienced in counseling small businesses and entrepreneurs on a broad array of legal matters that affect both their day-to-day operations and long term planning. His focus on this sector comes from a passion for helping those who are personally connected to their business and from his own experience in launching new enterprises.
After practicing law at a top 10 DC law firm for several years, Drew left private practice to become a key figure in the launch of a professional sports business. Drew’s experience in directing the legal affairs and managing the day-to-day operations of a start-up business gives him a unique understanding of the constraints faced by new, small, and growing companies. Drew’s commitment to working within those constraints for his clients is derived from his memories of sitting on the other side of the table.
Drew started D. Larsen Legal, PLLC in 2010 with the idea of creating a private legal practice which he would have wanted to hire when he was helping to operate a company. He has not forgotten the difficulty of operating a business, especially in this economy.
Drew received his bachelor of arts magna cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, served on the Executive Board of the Holy Cross chapter of Habitat for Humanity, and was captain of the men’s varsity soccer team. He received his juris doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law where he served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Social Policy and the Law and as an Editor of the law school newspaper, and played entirely too many intramural sports. Prior to attending law school, he was a Jesuit Volunteer in rural Montana.
Drew lives in Williamsburg, Virginia with his wife Alli and their two young daughters Anna and Mae.
